REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – CENTRAL, USA

This multi-national Lighting Manufacturer is seeking a dynamic, top Regional Sales Manager to lead national sales efforts for the United States Central market. 

Our client is a leader in innovation, design, and production of commercial, refrigerated display lighting, shelving lighting, and general lighting for retail environments: supermarkets, grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores, and more.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced sales and business development professional to advance the development and optimize territory sales in commercial lighting. US operations are based in Georgia.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execution of sales and market growth development for the Central US market
  • Educate and influence target markets
  • Research and execute new markets and national accounts with major end users and channel sales accounts
  • Maintain the health and performance of the sales and project pipeline 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Represent client at trade shows and events as assigned.
  • Monitor and inform management of competitive market strategies, tactics, and threats to optimize sales.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to management on a variety of topics related to market feedback, sales targets, sales performance, sales growth, sales management, and sales performance.
  • Maintain sales forecasting
  • Ability & willingness to travel 50% throughout the US

Ideal Candidate:

This individual will be a tried and true “hunter” charged with developing new accounts within the commercial, retail, and hospitality industry categories, across the Central USA. This role is for sales professionals who are passionate about new technology and are eager and self-motivated to drive growth through innovation. The individual is responsible for developing and securing business with new customers while providing exemplary customer service throughout the entire sales lifecycle. 

  • 4+ Years of experience in sales, account management, and/or new business development
  • Highly self-motivated, hard-working, and proactive
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to construct, maintain & manage a book of business
  • Dedicated to meeting all quotas and metrics provided
  • Commitment to providing the highest level of customer service
  • Prompt and accurate response time to internal & external requests
  • Familiarity with retail and hospitality lighting or experience in selling to the category and other commercial and retail segments in the industry
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering an asset

Education:

Degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience (considered an asset)
