NATIONAL SALES MANAGER,
OVERHEAD LIGHTING

This multi-national Lighting Manufacturer is seeking a dynamic, top National Sales Manager to lead national sales efforts for the United States.

Our client is a leader in innovation, design, and production of commercial, overhead, refrigerated display lighting, shelving lighting, and general lighting for retail environments: supermarkets, grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores, and more.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced sales and business development professional to lead a national sales initiative with an excellent escalating opportunity. US operations are based in Georgia.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading the National Sales strategy execution and market development
  • Create and implement strategies to educate the target market
  • Define target market plans, research and develop new markets and national accounts with major end users
  • Contribute to sales and marketing collateral and digital asset requirements
  • Maintain the health and performance of the sales and project pipeline 
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of competitive product lines to sell products that will meet the customers’ expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Represent client at trade shows and events as assigned.
  • Conduct field visits/ joint sales calls with sales representatives to train, educate and evaluate performance.
  • Monitor and inform management of competitive strategies, tactics, and threats.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to management on a variety of topics related to market feedback, sales targets, sales performance, sales growth, sales management, and sales representative performance.
  • Developments of budgets and sales forecasting
  • Ability & willingness to travel 50% throughout the US

Ideal Candidate:

This individual will be a true “hunter” charged with developing new accounts within the commercial Grocery and retail industry categories, nationally with a focus on Overhead lighting solutions. This role is for sales professionals who are passionate about new technology and are eager and self-motivated to drive growth through innovation. The individual is responsible for developing and securing business with new customers while providing exemplary customer service throughout the entire sales lifecycle.

  • 4+ Years of experience in sales, account management, and/or new business development
  • Highly self-motivated, hard-working, and proactive
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to construct, maintain & manage a book of business
  • Dedicated to meeting all quotas and metrics provided
  • Commitment to providing the highest level of customer service
  • Prompt and accurate response time to internal & external requests
  • Familiarity with overhead lighting, grocery lighting or experience in selling to the category and other commercial and retail segments in the industry
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering an asset

Education:

Degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience (considered an asset)
